2022 FARMFEST
Farmfest was true to form again this year turning on a week of freezing cold weather. Continued interest was shown over the three days from old and new visitors to the Braford site. Farmfest is an venue to showcase our cattle for the upcoming sales.
2022 ST GEORGE BRAFORD FEATURE SHOW
Strathgyle exhibited 8 head at the show.
Very successful showing winning 5 x 1st places, 4 x 2nd places, 1 x 3rd place also
Calf Champion Bull – Strathgyle Salvador
Reserve Senior Champion Bull – Strathgyle Mario
Will won the Under 12 Young Handlers competition
Hudson came 3rd in the Junior Herdsman competition
2023 National Braford Youth Camp
Approx 30 children attended the 2023 National Braford Youth camp at the Bell Showgrounds. It was a great experience to learn showring craft, cattle selection & public speaking whilst forming friendships with fellow breed youngsters. A great time was had by all. Will, Paige & Hudson enjoyed their couple of days with Paige winning the ‘All Rounder’ (7-9yrs) & Hudson winning Paraders competition (7-9yrs).
2024 BEEF WEEK
We enjoyed a great week at BEEF 2024. there was a magnificent display of over 100 head of Brafords presented for judging from throughout Queensland and New south Wales. the Braford trade site was very well attended and provided heightened interest in the Braford breed and what Brafords can offer in the cattle industry as a whole.
BEEF 2024 was another successful show with our junior team. Our young bulls were amongst the ribbon recipients and created significant interest with their great eye muscle areas and weight for age.
